Mobile Occupational Therapy

Mobile occupational therapy by Welldom brings personalized, client-centered therapy to your home, catering to those with difficulties traveling to traditional therapy settings due to physical limitations, health issues, or other barriers. We offer mobile outpatient occupational therapy evaluations in the comfort of your home or community, specializing in various diagnoses and activities of daily living training. Our services are designed for individuals not classified as "homebound" but may not be ready to return to the community.  Medicare covers 80% of all outpatient services, including mobile therapy.

Activities of Daily Living

Activities of Daily Living, ADLs, are activities that a client needs to perform to take care of their body.  These activities enable basic well-being and self-care.

 

Here are a few examples:

  • Bathing, Showering  

  • Dressing 

  • Feeding

  • Personal Grooming/Hygiene 

  • Toileting Needs (including hygiene and transfers) 

  • Safe mobility and transfers

Instrumental Activities of Daily Living 

Instrumental Activities of Daily Living, IADLS, are more complex activities that a client needs to do to maintain independence in their home or community.

 

Here are a few examples:

  • Care of others (arranging, supervising, assisting) 

  • Communication management (using a cell phone, computer, or tablet) 

  • Driving and community mobility (moving around in the community or using public transportation)

  • Housework 

  • Yard work 

  • Money Management (planning) 

  • Meal Preparation and cleanup

  • Safety and emergency planning (recognizing hazards, identifying emergency contacts) 

  • Shopping and preparing a list (purchasing, transporting items)
